They let us know when the gas and electric power were turned off and on, and the electric power was only off for two hours. I felt so bad that they had to come on a cold and snowy day, but they shoveled a path on our driveway and put down ice melt so that they could bring everything in. They even put a tarp down on our basement floor so they wouldn't leave any dirt on it! They did a test at the end, and the generator went on like it was supposed to.
